12 members are there in the nursing board of Maryland. Out of which 6 are registered nurses, 4 are licensed practical nurse and rest two are public members. The president of the board is appointed by the governor, whereas the other members are elected either by the state legislature or governor. The members are hired for four years term period and no member can be appointed for more than two consecutive term periods, as this is the rule by the state government.
